Jenny Ferrara is the President and Co-Founder of Philosophers & Fools, a cozy neighborhood bookstore bar in Charleston, SC. Jenny’s love of books started at a young age thanks to Jo March, Anne of Green Gables, and the members of the Baby-Sitter’s Club. Her appreciation for the craft of storytelling and capturing people’s attention was honed working at ad agencies like J. Walter Thompason and the Kaplan Thaler Group in New York for seven years. In 2010, Jenny left NYC for Charleston, SC and joined up with Obviouslee, eventually becoming the marketing company’s Director of Marketing & Production. In 2022, Jenny joined FAB, a business workshop for women in the food & beverage industry as the Community Director. Jenny continues to work with FAB today, while at the helm of Philosophers & Fools, alongside her husband Michael. Philosophers & Fools opened its doors in March of 2024 and sells new books across a variety of genres as well as providing a space for the community to hang out and enjoy a glass of sustainable wine or a craft beer.
