Andres LorduyBUENAVISTA INFORMATION SYSTEMS

    While growing up in Bridgeport Connecticut, the Lorduy brothers saw their parents as role models for being successful in life. When he graduated from The Citadel, Andres convinced his brother Adrian to start a small IT business in Charleston. After they separated honorably from their military service, Adrian who served in the U.S. Navy and Andres who served in the U.S. Army, decided to launch BuenaVista Information Systems, an Hispanic, Disabled Veteran owned small business as a result of their specialties in the military in 2020 with assistance from the SC SBDC. Adrian was in Executive Administration and Andres specialty was IT services. BuenaVista Information Systems helps companies in Charleston and Dorchester Counties to grow more effectively by managing and optimizing their IT and Cybersecurity. Adrian also graduated with an undergraduate degree from the Citadel, and is currently pursuing his Master’s degree in Business Administration. Andres graduated from Georgetown University in December 2021, earning a Master’s degree in Technology Management. In three short years, the Lorduys have obtained funding to grow their management team, hired additional team members, obtained a fourth partner, created substantial sales growth year over year, and are recipient of the 2023 SBDC Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
