Lauris Florez brings a wealth of multicultural experience to her work as a hair studio owner in Charleston. Originally from Venezuela, she moved to the United States 20 years ago in pursuit of new opportunities. Now married with two kids and two dogs, Lauris enjoys exploring music, traveling to new places, and sampling diverse cuisines with her family.

Her passion for the creative art of hair design began over a decade ago when she graduated from cosmetology school. For many years, Lauris polished her skills while building a loyal clientele at a local salon. In 2021, she took a bold step by opening her own hair studio – Hair by Lauris.

As a first-generation immigrant and new business owner, Lauris faced significant challenges. However, her drive, charisma, and skill with hair quickly attracted new clients. Her friendly, inclusive studio became a welcoming hub for customers of all backgrounds. Two years later, Lauris’ studio is thriving thanks to her talents, work ethic, and commitment to excellent service.
