The Paper Canopy / Owner
Casey Berry is the founder and creative mind behind The Paper Canopy, a charming stationery and craft shop nestled on Charleston’s vibrant Spring Street. Passionate about creativity, she believes that everyone has a unique creative spark—sometimes, all it takes is a little hands-on play to reconnect with it in our busy, overstimulated lives.
A graduate of the College of Charleston with a focus in Art History, Casey’s studies led her to Italy, where she fell in love with the timeless artistry of leather and paper crafts. Surrounded by centuries of craftsmanship, it wasn’t hard to see how a simple object could become a work of art.
After college, Casey spent 11 years in Colorado, where she developed a deep appreciation for small businesses and their power to shape communities. Inspired by her entrepreneurial spirit and love of creative expression, she returned to Charleston to open The Paper Canopy—an inviting space designed to inspire and empower others to embrace their own creativity.
Today, Casey continues to bring her vision to life at The Paper Canopy, where you can explore a curated selection of handcrafted paper goods and supplies. Whether you’re a seasoned crafter or just starting to explore, Casey’s store offers a welcoming environment for all. You can visit her at 93 Spring Street or follow along on Instagram at @thepapercanopy.
